Jon Hamm stars in new series Your Friends & Neighbors, streaming today on Apple TV+
Apple launches its latest prestige series today, Your Friends & Neighbors starring Jon Hamm in the lead role. The mix of drama and comedy sees Hamm playing a disgraced former hedge fund manager called Andrew Cooper, who turns to a life of crime to preserve his lavish lifestyle. The first two episodes are available to stream right now on Apple TV+, with the remainder of the season airing weekly. Apple is running a special promo where new subscribers can get Apple TV+ for $2.99 per month for 3 months, enough to cover the full run of Your Friends & Neighbors. The premise of the show sees Andrew Cooper (Hamm) stealing from his rich neighbors, in order to make a quick buck and keep up his outward appearances of personal wealth. Cooper steals things like luxury watches and handbags from mansions that are full of luxury watches and handbags. Cooper believes, incorrectly, that no one will notice them missing. As the series unfolds, his acts of crime catch up to him, and he discovers some shocking truths about his friends in the town. Hamm stars in the series, alongside Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, and others. The series is created by Jonathan Tropper, as part of his overall deal with Apple TV+. The showrunner previously worked on the Jason Momoa sci-fi series ‘See’, and is also behind a new upcoming Apple show called ‘Lucky’ starring Anya Taylor-Joy. After starring in a hilarious ad campaign for the streamer called ‘Everyone But Jon Hamm’, the Mad Men actor has finally bagged his own series, and also previously appeared on the service in the third season of The Morning Show. A new episode of Your Friends & Neighbors will be available to stream every Friday, with the finale of the nine-episode first season dropping on May 30. Apple has already renewed the show for a second season. Also streaming today is new episodes of Dope Thief and Surface. See everything coming to Apple TV+ here.
