The easy standout of the bunch, by far, was the iPhone 17 Air. Lewis George Hilsenteger (“Lew”) reacts to the ultra-thin new model in ways that seem a surprise even to himself. Upon picking it up, he immediately says, “That feels futuristic” and worries about its potential for bending. He also measures the model on camera, showing it as 5.65mm at its thinnest point, down from 8.75mm for the iPhone 17 Pro Max model he also holds. His conclusion? “It feels like half. It’s not half, but it feels like half.” Overall, bending concerns aside, Lew confesses that he can’t imagine anyone wanting to buy any of Apple’s other iPhone models once they can get their hands on a 17 Air.
