Thanks to Designboom founders Birgit and Massimo we toured the Milan showroom of Japanese furniture company Time & Style, a treasure-filled space we likely would have missed otherwise. The presentation was library-like, dense with materials and finishes that demanded to be touched and craftsmanship worthy of lingering scrutiny. Time & Style, the company, is based in Asahikawa, on the island of Hokkaido, and handles production in house, from "log purchasing to lumbering, drying, woodcutting, wood assembly, polishing, and finishing."
