In São Paulo, a home for an architect-artist couple balances color, light, and materiality
São Paulo-based architecture firm ARKITITO has completed Casa Toca, a 3700-square-foot hybrid residence designed for an architect-artist couple and their two daughters in the city’s bohemian Vila Madalena neighborhood. The three-story project, a recent winner at the iF Design Awards, combines residential functions with creative workspaces, including painting and music studios, as well as social areas for entertaining.

According to the team, the design seeks to integrate architecture, engineering, and art into a single cohesive structure that adapts to the terrain through a layered spatial organization.
