The best travel show on Apple TV+ just made its triumphant return
Looking for a weekend escape? The first two episodes of Long Way Home, the latest installment in Apple TV+’s best travel series, have just dropped — and it’s the perfect watch if you’re craving a scenic adventure.
The docuseries reunites Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman for another cross-country motorcycle journey that’s less about bikes and more about friendship, discovery, and breathtaking landscapes.
For me, the Apple TV+ original season — Long Way Up — coincided with my own foray into motorcycling during the early days of the pandemic. And while motorcycles are the vehicle of choice, the real draw is the duo’s chemistry and the stories they uncover along the ride.
To support the launch of Long Way Up in 2020, Apple TV+ brought the series’ first two adventures — Long Way Round and Long Way Down — to its streaming platform. That season saw McGregor and Boorman ride electric motorcycles from the southern tip of South America all the way to California.
Now, Long Way Home takes the pair across 17 European countries on what Apple describes as “cranky old bikes.” It’s a return to their roots — with new roads, familiar charm, and plenty of detours along the way.
Here’s the trailer for the Long Way Home season:
