America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places for 2025 prove 'preservation is about creating something new'
An update to the important annual list of the country’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places for 2025 has been announced by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The new list features historic buildings from Michigan, Arizona, Oregon, Texas, Los Angeles, and New York. As a group, they remind us of the rich diversity of this country, the contributions of immigrant communities, and the struggles of Indigenous tribes and other marginalized groups to protect their respective cultures from erasure.
The Trust says: "This year’s list exemplifies how preservation is about creating something new." Their entries for the 38th edition of the list of America's Most Endangered Historic Places for 2025 are:
