Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled its design for Oystra, a 1.3 million square foot seafront development on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The scheme comprises 950 residential units including apartments, duplexes, penthouses, and villas, alongside retail, dining, and leisure amenities. The design of the scheme draws inspiration from the natural patterns formed by waves in sand, with large balconies that provide shade and extend living areas outward.
