HBO Delays ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Release
The release of Game of Thrones spinoff series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been pushed into 2026, according to Variety. Although an official release date was never announced, the project was reportedly slated to premiere this year.
A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms chronicles a sequence of George R. R. Martin novellas set a century before the events of Game of Thrones. It follows two unlikely heroes who wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. In an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and images of the last dragon have not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
The series stars Peter Claffey; Dexter Sol Ansell; Finn Bennett; Bertie Carvel; Tanzyn Crawford; Daniel Ings; and Sam Spruell.
Sarah Adina Smithdirects three of the six episodes, joining director and executive producer Owen Harris.
Written and executive produced by Martin and Ira Parker, the show is also executive produced by Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Harris, and Sarah Bradshaw. Visual effects are being managed by visual effects supervisor Arron Roebuck.
