From wooden flooring to classic white walls, we see plenty of design secrets coming together to bring this space to life. The foyer. A solid maroon section flanked by textured white cabinetry. This space creates an intriguing first impression, sure to captivate anyone walking in. The rug here makes the ambiance inviting, while the ottoman provides a quick seat for residents putting on shoes as they walk out of the house. The living room is where we see the modern classic design in full action. The overall space has a modern and simple feeling. But when we look at the details the chandelier and ceiling moldings nod to traditional elements. These add timelessness to the otherwise contemporary space.AdvertisementThe stark white walls are a design secret to opening up a compact space (bonus points for the mid-century mirror, reflecting natural light as it enters from the window). But, simultaneously, we see the wooden flooring and soft furnishings factoring in warmth. This is complemented by bold punches of color introduced with artwork. A beautiful balance between contemporary and cozy is the final result.Towards the end of the room, a small rustic dining table provides ample space for two to enjoy dinner together as the overhead pendant light provides just the right light.Walking past the dining table leads residents into the open and airy kitchen, featuring a stunning industrial style. The focal point of this space is the exposed brick wall with a whitewashed finish. The sleek white cabinetry provides hidden storage space, while the kitchen is kept from feeling cramped by adding open shelving (instead of upper cabinets). The gold hardware deserves a special mention for subtly adding luxury to this modern-rustic space. The loft apartment may feature one bedroombut it sure makes a statement with its modern-traditional style! The crisp white walls and understated artwork account for a contemporary aesthetic, while the mid-century chandelier and rustic furniture (with a weathered charm) bring in a traditional vibe. The bedroom features mid-century modern cabinetry under the television and a minimalist vanity with a rustic desk.
