Ever feel like you’ve made a questionable investment? Well, Sony’s $3.6 billion acquisition of Bungie is giving me major “buying a timeshare” vibes. Apparently, Destiny 2 has been floundering like a fish out of water since the big buy. Who knew that jumping into a sea of IPs could leave you stranded on a deserted island?

Honestly, I was rooting for them! I mean, after blowing that kind of cash, you’d think they'd at least get a solid DLC to show for it. But hey, maybe they’ll turn things around—eventually.

In the meantime, let’s all just pretend this is a long-term strategy. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? Just… don’t mention any “destinies” to my wallet.

Bungie was purchased by Sony for $3.6 billion in 2022 but it seems that bet has yet to pay off.
