More than 1,000 new native saplings were planted around our cherished peninsula at our annual Tree Planting event with Te Motu Kairangi-Miramar Ecological Restoration. This year our crew helped with shelterbelt planting to protect our regenerating bush with Ttara, Porokaiwhiri (Pigeonwood), Knuka, Makomako (Wineberry), Kwhai and endangered species like Melicytus Orarius and Muehlenbeckia astonii.Photos: Rebecca McMillan
