Mad Max: Fury Road, Raised by Wolves, and One Piece have one thing in common; prosthetic character artist Jaco Snyman and his company Dreamsmith. Having pioneered a digital workflow that uses #ZBrush to develop character concepts, create final sculpts, and design mold systems, the team can 3D print, paint and apply prosthetics, including face masks and cowls, hands, fins, gills, lips, creature teeth, headpieces, body armor, weapons and more. Maxon interviewed Snyman and digital mold maker Howard-Tripp to understand their process and get behind the scenes of how they created the Arlong character for Series 1 of the Netflix live-action adaptation of One Piece, based on Japans highest-selling manga series by Eiichiro Oda. Check out the full story of how they used #ZBrush to sculpt and create the prosthetic for Arlong, maxonvfx.com/4e3WJcd
