Motion capture with deformations 🤔 A research team from Max Planck Institute for Informatics and Valeo.ai presented a new approach to mocap with deformations. Titled Decaf, it is a method for setting up 3D hand and face reconstructions. The team describes it as the first monocular motion capture method from a video that regresses 3D hand and face motions along with deformations arising from their interactions.
