This talk will discuss research projects aimed at improving how we manage invasive species in light of climate change, specifically focusing on controlling the introduction of invasive plants through horticulture.Current policies for addressing the spread of invasive plants are insufficient, highlighting the need for better regional coordination. Strategies for addressing this issue will be discussed, with examples from invasive species networks in the Northeast U.S. Case studies will include the Native Plant Trust's habitat management efforts in Concord, MA, to protect a rare violet threatened by the continued presence and spread of glossy buckthorn.
