Skidmore, Owings & Merrill has collaborated with Italian manufacturer Neri on a collection of outdoor furniture products. Named the Nebula collection, the products are designed to fill a need for considered, versatile street furniture to populate main streets and urban corridors. The collection includes bench seating, stools, tables, and a bicycle rack.This is a collection born of necessity, said Carlos Madrid III, Senior Associate Principal at SOM, about the collection. Our firm has a long history of working at the urban scale, and we have consistently found a dearth of products in the marketplace that are flexible enough to work at the scale of the conversation, as well as the scale of the city.
