Myself and a couple of others have worked toward creating a prototype of a game. I used pseudorandomness to paint the tiles (e.g. a road with weeds and flowers in it) and then I used pseudorandomness again to vary the hue and brightness of the tile. Using pseudorandomness to paint the tiles was an idea from @warp9. I came up with the varying hue and brightness idea, insomuch that I stole it from Corel Painter. :)The
