Solder is the one who sold Skif the coordinates to place the scanner at the start of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. After tracking him down at the Sphere during the "Behind Seven Seals" mission, you'll be presented with the choice to either spare or kill Solder. If you choose to spare his life, he'll show up again and assist you during the mission "The Hornet's Nest."
