While exploring The Zone, players will encounter various NPCs that will eventually lead to a minor quest to a full-fledged side mission like For Science! in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The aforementioned mission involves Skif meeting up with Yaryk Mongoose, who'll task players to activate a second measuring device atop a Silo. It's a relatively short quest but will reward players with a Malachite pass to help them enter and use the facilities of the STC Malachite.
