Apple released iOS 18.3 on Monday, more than a month after the company released iOS 18.2. While the latest update tweaks a few features, like the Apple Intelligence notification summaries, it also patches a handful of bugs. And Apple said that one of those bugs may have been actively exploited in earlier iOS versions, potentially granting others unauthorized access.To download the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update, then tap Update Now and follow the prompts on your screen.Read more: Everything You Need to Know About iOS 18According to Apple, the update patches more than 20 bugs, but the company said that one issue with the Core Media framework may have been actively exploited. This framework helps manage and process audio and visual data on your iPhone.Apple wrote in the update's CVE entry -- that's common vulnerabilities and exposures -- that an application might be able to elevate privileges. According to EC Council, an information security research and certification organization, privilege escalation allows a malicious actor to access sensitive data on your device. Updating to iOS 18.3 will help prevent those people from getting unauthorized access on your iPhoneApple wrote online that it's aware of a report that this bug may have been exploited against iOS software prior to iOS 17.2.
