On the strength of that win, KKF is getting his second shot at Alexandre Pantoja and his first title shot overall.Erceg pushed Pantoja to the brink in May 2024 at UFC 301 but lost a unanimous decision. After enduring his own two-fight losing streak courtesy of split-decision losses to Pantoja and Brandon Royval, Moreno took nine months off to recover.MORE FOR YOUHe returned with a dominant win over Albazi. Because he has already faced and lost to Pantoja twice, he will need to string at least two more wins together to get back into position to face the champion again.The best scenario for Moreno is for KKF to dethrone Pantoja, thereby creating a new path to the title. Moreno has beaten KKF twice, so a third fight would be more likely for him.Before any of that happens, Moreno will have to handle Erceg in the wildly intriguing main event. Erceg was originally set to face Asu Almabayev on March 1, but he was pulled from that fight and injected into the UFC Mexico main event.Almabayev has been given Allan Nascimento to remain active as he chases his own title shot.
