Casa Gomis to be converted into museum by Spain's Cultural Ministry

Casa Gomis, the iconic modernist space completed in 1963 following a design by Antoni Bonet Castellana, has been acquired into the inventory of the of the Spanish Ministry of Culture for $7.5 million.Artnet is reporting on its newfound status, which "provides a much-needed lifeline" against the encroaching expansion of Barcelona Airport. Plans are for it to be converted into a cultural and environmental center.
