The emerging trade war between the U.S. and both Canada and Mexico may impact private construction project financing, the Associated Builders and Contractorshas warned. The statement comes as the ABC released its latest data on nonresidential construction spending.The ABC analysis of recent U.S. Census Bureau data found that nationwide nonresidential construction spending decreased by 0.2% in the month of December. On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $1.241 trillion.Decembers spending declined in 9 of 16 nonresidential subcategories.
