Modern choice-driven RPGs have been known to delve into romance occasionally, and while the feature is not always requested nor desired, it can still add compelling layers to a narrative. Romance may not be the heart and soul of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and its predecessor, but the opportunity still presents itself, with Henry's romance with Kingdom Come: Deliverance's Theresa being the first example of this in the series. Unfortunately, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 technically being a standalone game, despite continuing the first game's story, means Theresa might have been left in the dust in exchange for a greater focus on Henry's journey in front of him.
