A game worthy of the gods (Microsoft)Microsoft has announced even more Xbox games are coming to PlayStation 5 in 2025, and likely Nintendo Switch 2.After a hesitant start to their multiformat strategy in 2024, Microsoft now seems to be doubling down on its efforts to support the PlayStation 5, insisting that there are no red lines when it comes to what games could be brought over.Microsoft has already confirmed Indiana Jones And The Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5 will release on PlayStation 5 this year, while other first party titles like Doom: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 will launch on Sonys console alongside the Xbox Series X/S version.Less than a week after Forza Horizon 5s PlayStation 5 announcement, Xbox has announced two more first party games for Sonys console and its great news for strategy fans.Here is what you need to know.New Xbox games coming to PS5Age Of Mythology: Retold and Age Of Empires 2: Definitive Edition are both coming to PlayStation 5 this year. The former, which is a remastered version of 2002s original Age Of Mythology, will come to the console on March 4, while the latter is slated merely for spring.The arrival of Age Of Mythology: Retold on Sonys console coincides with the launch of a new Immortal Pillars expansion, which includes a Chinese pantheon, a campaign inspired by Chinese mythology, and seven new maps.This expansion arrives on PC and Xbox Series X/S on the same day as the PlayStation 5 version, with cross-play support. All future updates will roll out across all platforms simultaneously following this date.Age Of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, a remaster of the 1999 original game with improved visuals and all previous DLC, will also launch on PlayStation 5 with a new expansion although developer Worlds Edge is keeping details under wraps until spring.As for Age Of Empires 4 players, Microsoft has announced two new expansions for 2025. The first, Knights Of Cross And Rose, will launch in the spring, and includes a new solo mode and the ability to lead two well-known armies inspired by history. There are no details on the second expansion, but it will partly focus on shorter and repeatable experiences.The existence of these ports suggest Age Of Mythology: Retold and Age Of Empires 2: Definitive Edition could be in the pipeline for Nintendos Switch 2 as well especially as they would both showcase the consoles mouse-like functionality.Microsoft has confirmed Xbox games are coming to Nintendos next console, but hasnt named any actual titles yet.
