A consortium led by UNStudio will redesign the Expo 2020 Dubai site into a sustainable new model for urban living in line with the governments Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. The project was announced this week along with the intent of retaining more than 80% of the original structures built for the 2021 exhibition, which was later used as the host site for the COP28 climate summit.Image: Plomp, courtesy UNStudioThe plan covers almost 1.4 square miles in total, to be completed in a phased development that evolves as it is constructed.
