NEOMs full project timeline for The Liine megacity component may now take 100 years to complete, according to a new report on comments made by two senior officials working on the project at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos last month.The statements made there by Chief Development Officer Denis Hickey, who said "We]re going to build a city that ultimately has to be masterplanned to hold 9M people, [the] size of London, [the] size of New York City. Thats a big ask. Itll take 100 years or whatever to fill that. But weve got to plan now."Its construction has faced numerous doubters while reports of human rights violations related to 20,000 or more laborer deaths have also marred the project.
