PSNSonyIf you were planning for some Friday night gaming on your PlayStation, you may have found last night that PSN was down, ending those plans. But if you were hoping that things would at least be fixed by this morning, theres some bad news on that front.PSN is still down after 14 hours and there have been no updates about when its going to be fixed or why this is happening. The PSN service page says some services are experiencing issues except its all services, apparently, all with the red dead light. Thats sign-in, playing games, playing video, the store, all of it. Sometimes only pieces go down, but this is a full outage. And a long one.The PlayStation support account has not been terribly helpful, tweeting only We are aware that some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN and directly players toward that page below. That was 11 hours ago and there have been no updates since then.PSNSonyThis is a long outage, the longest weve seen from PSN in a while, but nothing will beat the all-time insanity that was the 23 day outage back in April of 2011, which was due to security breaches by hackers, that also grabbed user data of 77 million subscribers. That is very unlikely to be whats happening here today, even if the outage is quite long.MORE FOR YOUEven other games are chiming in about the outage at this point. Heres the super-popular Marvel Rivals, which says theyre talking to PlayStation directly:Due to PlayStation servers emergent issue today, PlayStation users might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features. Thank you for your patience and understanding.It is a side-effect of the modern era that when a service like this is down you can essentially play almost nothing for duration. This is when I feel pretty good about being a mostly PC player these days, reliant only on my ISP, but there are tens of millions of PlayStation players currently affected by this.
