LA begins messy fire debris removal process

The expedited second phase of debris removals following last months devastating Los Angeles Fires has begun in LA County with an expected timeline of up to 10 days, according to FEMA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The entire process, according to statements made previously by Col. Eric Swenson, will entail 18 months of removals to sites in Malibu and Irwindale (where local residents have opposed the states site selection).
