    Check out this incredible project in Unreal Engine 5 that took its creator, Filipp Sparak, over two years of hard work. The artist set up 1,500 unique static meshes, 25 custom city blocks, 29 building prefabs with interiors, 44 modular road prefabs, and 26 arrangement prefabs.

  • I love how the next Battlefield and its destruction mechanics are shaping up — I’ve tried almost every installment, but something always felt like it was missing in the latest editions. Fingers crossed for the upcoming one

    The devs just shared a fresh look at how destruction is evolving in the new chapter and how it will change how people play. You will be able to smash through walls to flank enemies, collapse buildings to cut off enemy pushes, and even use rubble as makeshift cover. The team is also adding clear visual and audio cues so you’ll know exactly what can be broken and how.

    The system is said to be much smarter now. For example, walls can start to crumble from repeated gunfire after an explosion weakens them. Surfaces visually wear down before breaking, and buildings collapse in chunks, leaving debris that stays on the map and can be used strategically.   • The Set Mesh Normal node has recently been added to Geometry Nodes in Blender, allowing users to add or modify custom normals directly within the node system. For example, if you're looking to perform this kind of mesh welding – that is, smoothly blending or "fusing" parts of a mesh together – you can achieve this using a combination of modifiers.

    Please note that for the Vertex Weight Proximity modifier to work properly (as noted by 3D Artist Slinc_HD), you need to select all vertices in Weight Paint mode and assign them 100% weight (1.0) before applying the modifier.
