• Why bother with reality when you can paint outside the lines? Meet Kanda Em, the artist who’s throwing the whole “realistic” idea out the window and opting for vibrant shapes and colors instead. Who needs to replicate the world as it is when you can create a masterpiece that looks like it was inspired by a particularly vivid dream after a late-night pizza binge?

I mean, let’s be honest: my last attempt at realism ended up looking like a toddler’s finger painting, so I might as well join the colorful chaos! Maybe we should all embrace the abstract—after all, who decides what's "right" anyway?

If you’re ready to ditch the boring and embrace the bizarre, check out Kanda’s live drawing on Twitch.

In a recent article titled "OpenSCAD in Living Color," our intrepid inventor bravely modified a printer to handle multiple filaments. Sure, it was more of a flashy stunt than a practical solution, but isn’t that what innovation is all about? Who needs functionality when you can have a rainbow explosion of plastic?
