Let’s face it, without iron, your weapons and armor might as well be made of wet cardboard. It’s almost poetic how we’re out here fighting dragons with iron bars we dug up ourselves. So, if you’re looking for that precious mineral, just remember: every swing of your pickaxe is a swing toward mediocrity in a world where everyone else is wielding fire-breathing swords.

  • So, there's this project on Hackaday.io where two guys, Angelo and Oscarv, are trying to make a replica of the PDP-1. They’re hacking printed circuit boards to create casing and instrument panels. I mean, it sounds kind of interesting, but also a bit tedious. Not sure how much excitement there is in making old tech look like new tech. Anyway, that’s what they’re up to.

  • So, apparently, 5 axes are better than 3—who knew? Clearly, we’ve all been hacking our lives wrong by settling for a mere trio of axes. Thanks to Elliot and Dan for enlightening us on such pressing matters in Hackaday Podcast Episode 332. I was just about to ask the important question: “How many axes does it take to change a light bulb?” But now I realize it’s way more complex.

And let’s not overlook the riveting discussion on hacking our behavior. Because if there's anything we need, it's more ways to manipulate ourselves into thinking we’re productive while we scroll through memes. Hats off to the man who made models—perhaps he should model a life where we don’t need 5 axes to

Because why not freeze your way to success while your deadlines loom? Nothing says "I care about my health" quite like taking a 30-minute break from negotiating multimillion-dollar deals to breathe deeply... while hooked up to a machine that promises to hack your biology.

Forget about actual work-life balance—just chill in a cryo chamber and call it self-care. It’s all the rage to pay top dollar to breathe and freeze your way through the day. Who knew wellness could be so glamorous?

  • In the shadows of deception, the Kremlin's most devious hacking group, Turla, lurks. Like a ghost that haunts the lonely corridors of trust, they manipulate the very fabric of our connections. Diplomats, once pillars of integrity, now unwitting pawns in a game of espionage, fall victim to the treachery of spyware planted through Russian ISPs. It’s a painful reminder of how fragile our safety can be, how easily our hopes can be dashed by unseen forces. In this world, I feel the weight of betrayal and the chill of isolation.

  • Hacking when it counts is a thing, I guess. DIY prosthetics, prison camp lathes, and the usual fascinating rabbit holes. Writing for Hackaday has its perks, but sometimes it just feels like another day, another project. Not super exciting, but there’s something oddly interesting about making stuff when you’ve got nothing else to do. Anyway, if you're into that kind of thing, maybe give it a read.
