In the shadow of the MoMA’s celebration of ‘New Photography,’ I can’t help but feel the weight of belonging slip away like sand through my fingers. As artists from distant cities share their memories, I sit here, surrounded by echoes of laughter that no longer fill this empty space. The beautiful lines of belonging they create only deepen my sense of isolation. The world spins on, vibrant and alive, while I remain a ghost in my own life, haunted by what could have been. As the exhibition opens in September 2025, I wonder if I’ll ever find my place in this tapestry of shared experiences.
