  • 6 Best Silk Sheets in 2025, Tested by AD Editors

When it comes to bedding that’s soft and supple, the best silk sheets are hard to beat. Unlike other materials like a textured linen or crisp percale, these have a glossy look and feel that you won’t quite find in another set. What’s more, they are just as versatile as they are stylish. Silk of the highest quality is characterized as a hypoallergenic, naturally breathable fabric, which is great for hot sleepers and sleepers with sensitive skin. Plus, many sets come in neutral and bright colorways to play off of your bedroom’s design. To get a real feel for the best sets out there, our editors got to work by sleeping in on our favorite sets on the market. And since top-tier silk sheets tend to be pricey, we’ve also sprinkled in some affordable alternative options like satin and bamboo. They might trick you into thinking they’re the real thing. Here, find all of our favorites to enhance your sleep experience and self-care routine. Our Top Picks for the Best Silk Sheets:Best Overall Silk Sheets: Quince Mulberry Silk Sheet Set, Best Splurge: Clementine Sleepwear Atelier Medica Organic Silk Fitted Base Sheet, A Sustainable Set: Lunya Quintessential Bedding Set, Best Silk Alternative: Ettitude CleanBamboo Sheet Set, Most Affordable: Bedsure Satin Sheets, For Hot Sleepers: Luxome Luxury Sheet Set, Browse by CategoryFor consistency, all prices reflect queen sizes in this story. The Best Silk Sheets, OverallQuince Mulberry Silk Sheet SetUpsides & DownsidesUpsides: Affordable, machine washable, made of 100% mulberry silkDownsides: Only available in a few neutral colorsSpecsMaterial: 100% mulberry silkSizes: Queen, kingColors: 3Includes: Fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 2 pillowcasesCare instructions: Machine washable, air-dry recommendedQuince is already one of our favorite destinations for luxury-on-a-budget sleep essentials. While you’ll find an affordable price point here too, the quality of these 100% mulberry silk sheets isn’t something to skip over. Senior commerce editor Nashia Baker keeps these high-quality sheets in rotation since they’re both durable and easy to care for. They are machine washable—she just keeps them with like colors for safe measure, though. From there, an air-dry gets the sheets back to their best condition. Even if you don't notice an immediate change from tumble drying, the brand says this practice can weaken the silk. As someone whose skin has gotten more sensitive over time, she appreciates the hypoallergenic, temperature-regulating material that feels soothing to sink into each night. These sheets have a 22 momme count. We dive into this more in our FAQ section, but this count essentially indicates a durable weave, and Baker says they've held up well without tears or color fading in sight.Best SplurgeClementine Atelier Medica Silk Fitted SheetUpsides & DownsidesUpsides: No off-gassing, tester says the deep hue pairs well with neutral bedding, infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acidDownsides: PriceySpecsMaterial: 100% GOTS certified organic silk beddingSizes: Twin, full, queen, kingColors: 2Includes: Fitted sheetCare instructions: Machine wash on the most delicate setting in a “silk-only” load with mild detergent. Or, hand wash with a mild detergent and gently massage the fabric for one minute to remove dirt and let it soak for the next four minutes. Rinse in fresh cold water. Do not use bleach or a fabric softener. Hang in a shady spot away from the sun to air-dry.Calling them “extremely soft and rich-feeling,” commerce writer Julia Harrison coats her bed with this silk set and adds that they’re the “kind of splurge that just feels like self-care every time you slip into it.” While they’re steeper in price, the brand notes that these sheets boast infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acid designed to leave skin feeling dewy and soothed. Harrison says she sleeps easily with these sheets and felt like they were ready for use out of the box with little to no off-gassing.All that aside, these sheets can instantly dress up a moody or minimalist bedroom at any given moment with the pearl white and navy blue hues. Although Harrison has a bohemian-meets-Danish design style in her space, she found the navy blue color to be surprisingly subtle. “It wasn’t screaming: silk sheets, or even worse: navy blue sheets,” she says. “I tucked it under my white duvet and it gave a really interesting contrast.”A Sustainable SetPhoto: Nashia BakerPhoto: Nashia BakerLunya Quintessential Bedding SetUpsides & DownsidesUpsides: Made of natural wood tencel fibers, soft, durable materialDownsides: Duvet and sheet set are sold separatelySpecsMaterial: 100% tencelSizes: Queen, king, California kingColors: WhiteIncludes: Fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 2 pillowcasesCare instructions: Machine wash cold and tumble dry low.Take it from Baker: Lunya’s silky sheets are a dream. At first glance, she mistook these as mulberry silk because of their glossy look. In actuality, these sheets are made of a natural fiber called tencel, which is a wood-based material. The brand notes that the bedding is biodegradable and created using an earth-friendly, closed-loop process that uses recycled materials. These are naturally breathable while also boasting a softness that she hasn’t quite felt in a standard silk set. “I wouldn’t consider myself a hot sleeper, but since NYC weather is constantly up and down, I like something that’s both airy and soft,” she says. “I sleep under the top sheet and duvet with no problem; the set keeps me comfortable during in-between spring weather that hits around the 50s and 60s.”While the duvet is sold separately, it's a plus to pair with the sheet set since it's just as durable. “I’ve had the same textured comforter with yellow embroidery for years now, and I feared that the design would show through the duvet cover since the only color Lunya has as of now is white,” Baker says. “I was pleasantly surprised to see that the duvet covered it all without any color peeking through.”Best Silk AlternativeEttitude CleanBamboo Sheet SetUpsides & DownsidesUpsides: 8 colors available, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, hypoallergenicDownsides: Some colors sell out quicklySpecsMaterial: 100% CleanBamboo LyocellSizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, California kingColors: 8Includes: 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, 2 pillowcase. Line dry or tumble dry low. Don't use bleach or fabric softener."These sheets are buttery—pun intended,” says Baker, who has this set in the butter colorway. These are made from a patented CleanBamboo fabric that leaves the sheets with a silky sateen finish. She says they have gotten noticeably softer over time with a routine wash and dry. Plus, they are a bit thinner in a good way than other bamboo-like sets, as Baker says it leaves them with an airier feel. If trendy pastel yellow isn’t your preference, these sheets also come in several neutral and vibrant hues like sage and saffron. Most AffordableBedsure Satin SheetsUpsides & DownsidesUpsides: Affordable alternative, smooth feel, easy careDownsides: Some color might bleed on pillows after the first couple of usesSpecsMaterial: 100% polyester satinSizes: Twin, full, queen, king, California kingColors: 22Includes: Fitted sheet, flat sheet, and 2 pillowcasesCare instructions: Machine washable in cold water. Tumble dry on low.Another alternative to add to cart, these satin sheets have a smooth texture and come in nearly two dozen colors to match your bedroom. And coming in at just they have more of an approachable price tag while still boasting the overall look of silk. The sheets are more slippery than a standard silk set, but the appearance itself doesn't give that away. Baker has these in burgundy and says the rich hue really shows through in person. She did notice some color bleeding on her pillows after the first couple of uses, so something to be mindful of if you opt for a deep color. For Hot SleepersPhoto: Nashia BakerLuxome Luxury Sheet SetUpsides & DownsidesUpsides: Unique colors available, deep pockets, breathableDownsides: The brand recommends washing alone on the delicate cycleSpecsMaterial: 100% Viscose from BambooSizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, California king, and split kingColors: 12Includes: 1 fitted sheet, 1 flat sheet, 2 pillowcase. Full, queen, king, California king, and split king sizes include 2 pillowcases; twin and twin XL include 1 standard pillowcase.Care instructions: Machine wash in cold water on a delicate cycle with a mild, liquid detergent. Don't use bleach, fabric softener, stain removers, or scent boosters. Tumble dry with low heat. These are our favorite cooling sheets for those seeking a glam aesthetic. Baker says this bamboo set is great for people like her who crave something cool-to-the-touch without sacrificing style. “These sheets have the same appearance to me as a high-end set of silk or satin without the cost,” she says, adding that they have dramatic drape. “These are even more unique because of the jewel tones, like sapphire, that are hard to find with other brands,” she says. Baker keeps her bedscape full with a mattress topper and protector, and she says these deep-pocket sheets fit easily over it all. While she says she’s generally a cold sleeper, the bamboo material is perfectly breathable for hot NYC days. How We TestedFrom bamboo to linen sheets, our testing process for sheets is one in the same at AD: Just like fellow shoppers, our editors bring sets in their homes to see if they really hold up for routine use. We had these silk and silk alternative sheets in our homes for about a month, if not more, to go through the process of washing and sleeping on them. Here areMaterial: There are several silk and silk alternative fabrics to choose from, but our list consists of pure mulberry silk, bamboo varieties, and satin that all have a similar look and feel. When shopping for pure silk, be sure look for bedding labels that note 100% mulberry silk, also known as natural silk. If you're looking for options that mirror the look of silk, 100% viscose from bamboo is typically durable and has less strict care instructions, especially tumble drying. Satin tends to be slightly more slippery in texture, but these usually still offer a silky look.Care: For streamlined care, we tested a variety of options that span hand washing to machine washing, as well as tumble drying and air-drying. Since pure silk can sometimes weaken from abrasive wash and dry cycles, it's typically recommended to hand wash and air-dry.FAQsAre Silk Sheets Really Worth It?While 100% mulberry sheets tend to be an investment price-wise, we think it's worthwhile. These can act as cooling sheets, as the material is naturally breathable for a good night's rest. And because of their smooth nature, they can leave a polished aesthetic in any bedroom. With the right care—typically machine washing on a delicate cycle or hand washing and air drying—the best silk sheets can last for years. What’s a Momme Count?A momme count is the measurement that reflects the weight of silk. Typically, the higher the momme count, the denser the fabric. Any momme count above 20 momme, like our Quince pick, is pretty standard and ensures the material is sturdy and designed to last.

  • Marathon is fighting the ultimate uphill battle

Ever since its initial reveal, Marathon
As we’ve inched closer and closer to its release date, the general outlook seems to have only gotten more dismal. Yes, there have been some very concerning controversies that shouldn’t be swept under the rug, but Marathon is suffering from a more systemic problem with live service games as a whole that it will need to overcome to succeed.

    The trust is broken
Live service games are labelled as such because they’re meant to be living, evolving experiences that players can keep coming back to for months and years. MMORPGs were the progenitors of this model, but now we’ve seen it applied to all sorts of genres. Despite its ups and downs, Destiny is still the poster child for what we now call live service games and the model so many have tried to imitate.
As with anything successful in the gaming industry, it wasn’t long before every big player wanted a piece of that pie. The allure of a perpetual money-maker was too great to resist, despite the reality being much more complicated. Sony was arguably the one to invest the most heavily in the model, at one point boasting over 12 live service games in the works. Between released and cancelled projects, that number has shrunk to possibly two, those being Marathon and Fairgames. While we can’t discuss the broken trust between gamers and the current and upcoming slate of live service games without mentioning Concord, the root of the problem goes back much further than that.
The first game I recall raising major red flags in the gaming sphere was Anthem. Even before all the behind-the-scenes problems in development were brought to light about the game, fans were leery about a studio known for RPGs seemingly trying to hop onto the latest trend. Anthem launched to a less-than-stellar response and quickly went on life support. It failed to satisfy BioWare’s core RPG fans or any potential Destiny converts due to a lack of both a satisfying story or a compelling endgame grind. Before launch, EA shared a roadmap calendar detailing three acts of content, and when nothing beyond Act 1 was released for over a year, BioWare promised a major overhaul of the game, unofficially called Anthem 2.0.
All of these plans were cancelled.
    Firewalk Studios
Since then, we’ve seen more major games make bold claims about months and years of future content, only to pull the rug out from players after a middling — or downright abysmal — launch. Examples include Redfall, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and, of course, Concord. That last one is likely the one that broke the camel’s back for most gamers due to how unprecedented it was. This was a PlayStation first-party release with prime showcase placement, an ambitious roadmap of content, an experimental storytelling method, and even a tie-in episode in Secret Level before the game had even come out.
That game failing would be bad, but it being scrubbed from existence is catastrophic for gamers’ trust in PlayStation and live service as a whole. Not only do we have to be concerned about a game simply breaking all promises of support, but also the entire experience being ripped from us. While I don’t think the sins of one game should be borne by another, I can’t blame anyone who has adopted a more wait-and-see approach to new live service games. If we can’t count on a name as big as PlayStation to make good on its promises, why should we think differently for any other studio?
Trust isn’t given anymore, it needs to be earned.
The impressions I have seen from both major pundits and average players in forums for Marathon feel a lot like what the sentiment was for Concord before launch. The general feelings appear to float around a “it’s pretty fun to play, but there’s not enough there right now” type of vibe. Justified or not, that’s a death sentence for a game that relies on a large population of people being willing to support the game at its weakest so that it can even attempt to reach its full potential.
Gamers have long memories — at least when it comes to being burned. A roadmap and a “trust us” from the development team just doesn’t cut it anymore. Marathon could very well have the potential to be amazing, but it has to start out great to even have a chance to get there. Not enough people will settle for even good, and with so many people perfectly content sitting on the sidelines to see if it fails before it even gets off the ground, it will result in a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Bungie shouldn’t be let off the hook for blatant plagiarism or the apparent crashing moral at the studio. Rumors swirling about how the unrealistic amount of money it needs to make to be considered a success don’t help either, but Marathon‘s fate wouldn’t look any more certain even if that had never occurred. Until enough live service games earn our trust back, each game is fighting an uphill battle that gets steeper with every failed attempt.

  • Divided House GOP head to the White House to save Trump’s big bill

With President Donald Trump’s multitrillion-dollar tax breaks package at risk of stalling, House Speaker Mike Johnson and conservative Republican holdouts are heading Wednesday to the White House for the last-ditch talks to salvage the “big, beautiful bill.”

Johnson, R-La., had hoped to vote as soon as Wednesday on the 1,000-page plus bill after grinding through an all-night committee hearing, a final step in the process. But debate dragged into midday. Democrats, without the votes to stop Trump’s package, are using all available tools to press their opposition and capitalize on the GOP disarray.

“We believe it’s one big, ugly bill that’s going to hurt the American people,” said House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York as he and his team testified before the committee.

“Hurt children, hurt families, hurt veterans, hurt seniors, cut health care, cut nutritional assistance, explode the debt,” he said.

Trump had instructed the Republican majority to quit arguing and get it done, putting his own political influence on the line. But the Republican president failed to move many skeptics during his Capitol Hill visit this week and GOP leaders struggled through the the night on crafting last-minute deals.

But for every faction of the slim House majority that Johnson appeases, he is losing others. A tentative deal with GOP lawmakers from New York and other high-tax states to boost deductions for local taxes to alarmed the most conservative Republicans, worried it will add to the nation’s trillion debt.

Rep. Andy Harris, R-Md., the chairman of the hard-right House Freedom Caucus, said he did not believe the package could pass in a House vote, but “there is a pathway forward that we can see.”

“We want to deliver the president’s agenda,” he said.

It’s a make-or-break moment for the president and his party in Congress. They have invested much of their political capital during the crucial first few months of Trump’s return to the White House on this legislation. If the House Republicans fall in line with the president, overcoming unified Democratic objections, the measure would next go to the Senate.

“We’re doing very well. It’s very close” Trump said at the White House.

A fresh analysis from the Congressional Budget Office said the tax provisions would increase federal deficits by trillion over the decade, while the changes to Medicaid, food stamps and other services would tally trillion in reduced spending. The lowest-income households in the U.S. would see their resources drop, while the highest ones would see a boost, the CBO said.

Republicans convened the House Rules Committee hearing shortly after midnight, but Johnson’s Memorial Day deadline for House passage was slipping as lawmakers prepared to depart for the holiday.

At its core, the package is centered on extending the tax breaks approved during Trump’s first term in 2017, while adding new ones he campaigned on during his 2024 campaign.

To make up for some of the lost revenue, the Republicans are focused on spending cuts to federal safety net programs and a massive rollback of green energy tax breaks from the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act.

Additionally, the package tacks on billion in new spending, with about billion going to the Pentagon, including for the president’s new “ Golden Dome” defense shield, and the rest for Trump’s mass deportation and border security agenda.

The package title carries Trump’s own words, the “ One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”

As Trump promised voters on the tax front, the package proposes there would be no taxes on tips for certain workers, including those in some service industries; automobile loan interest; or some overtime pay.

There would be an increase to the standard income tax deduction, to for joint filers, and a boost to the child tax credit to There would be an enhanced deduction, of for older adults of certain income levels, to help defray taxes on Social Security income.

To cut spending, the package would impose new work requirements for many people who receive health care through Medicaid. Able-bodied adults without dependents would need to fulfill 80 hours a month on a job or in other community activities.

Similarly, those who receive food stamps through the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, known as SNAP, would also face new work requirements.

Older Americans up to age 64, rather than 54, who are able-bodied and without dependents would need to work or engage in the community programs for 80 hours a month. Additionally, some parents of children older than 7 years old would need to fulfill the work requirements; under current law, the requirement comes after children are 18.

Republicans said they want to root out waste, fraud and abuse in the federal programs.

The Congressional Budget Office has estimated 8.6 million fewer people would have health insurance with the various changes to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. It also said 3 million fewer people each month would have SNAP benefits.

Conservatives are insisting on quicker, steeper cuts to federal programs to offset the costs of the trillions of dollars in lost tax revenue. GOP leaders have sped up the start date of the Medicaid work requirements from 2029 to 2027.

At the same time, more moderate and centrist lawmakers are wary of the changes to Medicaid that could result in lost health care for their constituents. Others are worried the phaseout of the renewable energy tax breaks will impede businesses using them to invest in green energy projects in many states.

Plus, those lawmakers from New York, California and other high-tax states want a bigger state and local tax deduction, called SALT, for their voters back home.

As it stands, the bill would triple what’s currently a cap on the state and local tax deduction, increasing it to for joint filers with incomes up to a year. But advocates wanted more. Under the emerging deal, the cap would increase the deduction to with an income limit of according to a person granted anonymity to discuss the private talks. The cap would phase down for incomes above that level.

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan fiscal watchdog group, estimates that the House bill is shaping up to add roughly trillion to the debt over the next decade.

There would be an enhanced deduction, of $4,000, for older adults of certain income levels, to help defray taxes on Social Security income. As it stands, the bill would triple what’s currently a $10,000 cap on the state and local tax deduction, increasing it to $30,000 for joint filers with incomes up to $400,000 a year. But advocates wanted more. Under the emerging deal, the cap would increase the deduction to $40,000 with an income limit of $500,000, according to a person granted anonymity to discuss the private talks. The cap would phase down for incomes above that level. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan fiscal watchdog group, estimates that the House bill is shaping up to add roughly $3.3 trillion to the debt over the next decade. —Lisa Mascaro, Kevin Freking, Leah Askarinam, and Joey Cappelletti, Associated Press Associated Press writer Chris Megerian contributed to this report.

  • Every iPhone 17 Air Rumor: What to Know About a Slim New iPhone

Rumor has it, we may soon see an ultra thin iPhone. The rumored iPhone 17 Air -- or it might be called the iPhone Slim -- could potentially replace the current iPhone Plus amid Apple's next iPhone release in the coming months. The buzzed-about "Air" is getting a lot of attention in the iPhone 17 rumor mill, but the prospect also has people asking if Apple may have to sacrifice features to get a super thin phone. Here's the skinny on what we could expect with the newest iPhone.iPhone 17 Air release date: Is the slimmer iPhone coming this year? For nearly a decade, Apple has held an event in September to announce its new phones. This year we expect Apple to reveal the iPhone 17 series, including the rumored iPhone 17 Air.If the iPhone 17 Air rumors are true, Apple would be the latest to join the ultra-thin phone trend this year. Last week, I got to try out Samsung's new lightweight Galaxy S25 Edge after previewing it and a slew of shockingly thin phones at the Mobile World Congress in March. The iPhone 17 lineup may be the last to follow this fall-release model, according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and a report from The Information. Starting with the iPhone 18, Apple will reportedly split its phone releases so that lower-cost iPhones launch in the first half of the yearand higher-end pro models are announced in the latter half. That would likely mean a rumored iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, Air and new foldable iPhone model could debut in fall 2026. Keep in mind that an iPhone Flip or Fold has been rumored for years. You'll likely be able to preorder a new iPhone the Friday after the announcement, with the phone shipping a week later. What will the iPhone 17 Air cost?Early rumors about an iPhone 17 Air hinted that it could cost even more than the iPhone 17 Pro, but a March Bloomberg report suggested the phone could cost around That price tag would align with the rumor that the "Air" could replace the Plus, which currently costs For comparison, Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge starts at However, there's also the question of how tariffs could affect the price of an iPhone. Amid President Donald Trump's ongoing tariff drama, Apple has mostly escaped additional taxes by stockpiling inventory and getting most of its products on a tariff exemption list. Apple has moved some production of US iPhones to India to avoid the steeper tariffs imposed on China. However, Trump recently said he pushed Apple CEO Tim Cook to move US iPhone production from India to the US. How much all of this could affect iPhone prices is yet to be determined.Regardless of how tariffs play out, Apple is expected to raise the price of the iPhone. These price hikes are rumored to start with the iPhone 17 line, so prepare now to pay more for "Air." iPhone 17 Air camera: potential downgrade?Among the rumored potential sacrifices Apple may have to make to get a skinnier phone is limiting the camera features. The rumored iPhone 17 line is getting a new camera bar that extends across the width of the phone. But Front Page Tech shared an iPhone 17 Air video in February that showed a physical mockup of the phone based on rumors. One of the more surprising reveals was a smaller camera bar with one lens on the left, suggesting the "Air" phone has a single rear camera, similar to the iPhone 16E. It's not clear if the camera would be the same as the 16E or if Apple would go the route Samsung did and include the main camera from the iPhone 17 Pro.The single camera theory is backed up by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and a Bloomberg report, which said that the rumored Air may not have the ultrawide and 5x telephoto lenses that have become staples of Apple's premium iPhones. In a bit of good news, it's also rumored that the front-facing "selfie" camera on all iPhone 17 models, including the Air, will be upgraded to 24 megapixels, according to analyst Jeff Pu. iPhone 17 Air vs iPhone 17 ProIt may be getting a lot of attention, but the rumored Air appears to be less an advanced Pro model and more a replacement for the Plus. However, rumors are that the Air would have a 6.6-inch display, according to analysts Jeff Pu and Ming-Chi Kuo. If accurate, that would mean the Air's display is slightly smaller than the iPhone 16 Plus, with a 6.7-inch display, but larger than the iPhone 16 Pro, which features a 6.3-inch display. The iPhone 16 Pro Max leads with a 6.9-inch display. It's unclear if the 17 Air's screen would be a Pro Motion display like the one found on iPhone Pro models. If the rumored Air lives up to its name, then the biggest potential advantage it could offer over a Pro is its size and weight. A Bloomberg report from March notes that the iPhone Air could measure 5.5mm thick, compared to the iPhone 16 Pro at 8.25mm. Mac Rumors reported that a leaker on the Korean-langauge Naver blog, going by "yeux1122," said that the rumored iPhone 17 Air weighs approximately 145 grams. Compare that to the iPhone 16 Pro, which weighs in at 199 grams. If this rumor proves true, the Air would be just slightly heavier than the iPhone 13 mini, which weighs 141 grams.Bloomberg's report also notes that the iPhone 17 Air is expected to have super slim bezels compared to the rest of the line, along with a Camera Control button and a Dynamic Island cutout in the display.iPhone 17 Air battery life expectationsAmong the challenges of slimming down an iPhone could be figuring out how to reduce the battery size without compromising battery life.Initially, it was assumed that a skinnier iPhone would simply have a reduced battery life since there would be less space to house a large battery. But more recently, AppleInsider reported that a skinnier iPhone might use a silicon-anode battery that could help extend its battery life. Yeux1122 said the battery capacity is 2,800mAh, based on details that originate with "mass production confirmed sample," according to MacRumors. It added that a high density battery in the Air could increase its "actual capacity" by 15 to 20%.If the rumored iPhone 17 Air does use the silicon battery technology, it would be the first iPhone to do so.Are iPhone Air rumors and leaks to be trusted?Rumors are just that. The speculation leading up to the iPhone's release is often based on insider knowledge or leaked information from the teams working on the iPhone's design, but those plans can continue to evolve and are not necessarily reflected in the final product. We'll only be able to confirm these rumors with certainty when Apple officially releases the next iPhone and we can see it for ourselves.

After dragging its feet for years, America is finally taking its first big step toward shielding victims of non-consensual intimate imagery—also known as revenge porn—from constantly being retraumatized online.
On Monday afternoon, Donald Trump is scheduled to sign the Take It Down Act into law. That means that within one year, every online platform will be required to remove both actual NCII and fake nudes generated by artificial intelligence within 48 hours of victims' reports or face steep penalties.
Supporters have touted the 48-hour timeline as remarkably fast, empowering victims to promptly stop revenge porn from spreading widely online. The law's passing comes at a time when AI-generated revenge porn is increasingly harming a wider pool of victims—including some who may have never shared a compromising photo, like dozens of kids in middle and high schools nationwide. Acknowledging the substantial harm to kids already, the law includes steeper penalties for NCII targeting minor victims, a threat lawmakers hope will help minors get harmful images removed "as soon as possible."
Critics have attacked the 48-hour timeline, though, warning that platforms will be rushed to remove NCII and likely censor a broader range of content online. Trump has claimed that he would use the law to censor content he doesn't like, and the law does not explicitly exempt encrypted messages. So, if platforms decide to break encryption to prevent the liability threat, that could possibly pave the way for officials to censor critics' private messages, critics fear. For these reasons, legal challenges are expected.
Whether the Take It Down Act can survive a potential constitutional challenge or not, the 48-hour timeline may be deficient for other reasons, though, victim testimony suggests.

Likely wearisome for victims, the law won't be widely enforced for about a year, while any revenge porn already online continues spreading. Perhaps most frustrating, once the law kicks in, victims will still need to police their own revenge porn online. And the 48-hour window leaves time for content to be downloaded and reposted, leaving them vulnerable on any unmonitored platforms.
Some victims are already tired of fighting this fight. Last July, when Google started downranking deepfake porn apps to make AI-generated NCII less discoverable, one deepfake victim, Sabrina Javellana, told The New York Times that she spent months reporting harmful content on various platforms online. And that didn’t stop the fake images from spreading. Joe Morelle, a Democratic US representative who has talked to victims of deepfake porn and sponsored laws to help them, agreed that "these images live forever."
"It just never ends," Javellana said. "I just have to accept it."
Andrea Powell—director of Alecto AI, an app founded by a revenge porn survivor that helps victims remove NCII online—warned on a 2024 panel that Ars attended that requiring victims to track down "their own imagerymultiple claims across different platformstheir sense of isolation, shame, and fear."
While the Take It Down Act seems flawed, passing a federal law imposing penalties for allowing deepfake porn posts could serve as a deterrent for bad actors or possibly spark a culture shift by making it clear that posting AI-generated NCII is harmful.
Victims have long suggested that consistency is key to keeping revenge porn offline, and the Take It Down Act certainly offers that, creating a moderately delayed delete button on every major platform.
Although it seems clear that the Take It Down Act will surely make it easier than ever to report NCII, whether the law will effectively reduce the spread of NCII online is an unknown and will likely hinge on the 48-hour timeline overcoming criticisms.

Acknowledging the substantial harm to kids already, the law includes steeper penalties for NCII targeting minor victims, a threat lawmakers hope will help minors get harmful images removed "as soon as possible." Critics have attacked the 48-hour timeline, though, warning that platforms will be rushed to remove NCII and likely censor a broader range of content online. Joe Morelle, a Democratic US representative who has talked to victims of deepfake porn and sponsored laws to help them, agreed that "these images live forever." "It just never ends," Javellana said. "I just have to accept it." Andrea Powell—director of Alecto AI, an app founded by a revenge porn survivor that helps victims remove NCII online—warned on a 2024 panel that Ars attended that requiring victims to track down "their own imagery [and submit] multiple claims across different platforms [increases] their sense of isolation, shame, and fear." While the Take It Down Act seems flawed, passing a federal law imposing penalties for allowing deepfake porn posts could serve as a deterrent for bad actors or possibly spark a culture shift by making it clear that posting AI-generated NCII is harmful. • AU Deals: How the Moza MTP and MTLP Throttle up the Realism, Cheapest Prices, and More!

After about a hundred hours of being happily hunched over my Moza AB9 FFB Base and MH16 Flightstick, bolting in the Moza MTP Throttle and MTLP Panel felt like quite the level up. All that gear is starting to morph my office space into a serious simpit. Pretty soon I’ll be needing a flight suit, a spare 60K for this helmet, or maybe just intervention from my loved ones before those purchases can happen.
When I affixed it to my port side, the MTP Throttle delivered a fighter-jet-inspired grip, 27 programmable switches, an adjustable detent system for afterburner and trim positions, and game-changing vibration feedback that let me feel every gust and buffeting breeze.Perched to starboard, the MTLP Take-off and Landing Panel brings 25 Hall-effect-driven switches, a true-to-life parking brake lever, and telemetry-driven lighting straight from an iconic F/A-18 cockpit. And, when paired together, this Master Blaster of a peripheral is a chonk requiring 170 x 430mm worth of real estate.
Putting this bundle through its paces, mostly in an A-10 Warthog in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, was a blast. I feel I’ve experienced every yaw-trim tweak, afterburner snap, gear-down click, and parking brake yank these peripherals can muster. Before I elaborate more, though, let’s talk about the deep end – prices. Or click here to skip the window shop to my continued thoughts.ContentsCurrent PricesMoza MTP Throttle PanelAat JB Hi-FiMoza MTLP PanelAat JB Hi-FiMoza MTP ThrottleAfter you take a small age to bind every function to it, the MTP Throttle will competently emulate the full-range control demands of your fave fighter, from idle settings to screaming afterburner engagement and even centre-detent modes for precision yaw or spacecraft simulations. Inspired by carrier-based fighter throttle panels, its aluminium alloy grip felt substantial and reassuring in my clammy hands, far removed from the hollow plastic of my many budget joysticks from the Pentium-II days of yore.
Surrounding that dual-split throttle grip are 27 perfectly backlit physical switches, which include rotaries, toggles, and a Hall-effect mini-joystick. Basically, you have everything you need to assign flaps, trim, weapon selection, or camera angling/zooming without reaching for an immersion-breaking keyboard.Tack on a 15-bit magnetic encoder for drift-free, ultra-precise throttle position sensing and dual vibration motors that more-than-decently rumble out aerodynamic buffeting or overspeed warnings, and you’ve got an impressive piece of all-in-one thrust control. Everything about this looks premium and feels smooth and crisp to the touch; a product worth an asking price that’s steeper than your average Immelman.
Sliding the lever forward in MSFS 2024’s A-10 felt mesmerising; the adjustable damping screw lets you dial in a heavy carrier-style feel or a nearly frictionless slide for rapid thrust chops, perfect for the Warthog’s “your ordnance delivered in 5 minutes or it’s free” strafing runs. Switch presses registered instantly, and the haptic feedback added subtle jolts when breaking the sound barrier in my mental Top Gun montage. After hours of gun runs and canyon drifts, wrist fatigue was minimal, thanks to the throttle’s ergonomic layout and smooth travel path.In the final analysis, anyone craving realistic, customisable thrust control should find the MTP Throttle hard to resist. It commands a decent chunk of desk real estate and demands PC-only drivers, but its build quality, precision, and immersive feedback make it worth the investment. If you want to feel every ounce of power from idle to afterburner, this is a brilliant addition to any simmer’s ongoing flightof fantasy.
Back to topMoza MTLP PanelAs veteran eyes would have already spotted, the MTLP Panel is designed to ape the landing controls of an F/A-18, giving you 25 Hall-effect-monitored switches for gear, lights, flaps, and more, all laid out to guide your fingertips instinctively without glancing down. Its signature parking brake lever reproduces the spring-loaded recoil and rotation of real jet brakes, complete with a reassuring click on release that is satisfaction plus. The composite housing and aluminium accents of the MTLP are consistent with the superb build quality of its sister MTP unit. Moza has struck a balance between sturdiness and lower weight so it stays firmly in place even during my most enthusiastic brake yanks. Meanwhile, telemetry-driven LED indicators glow to confirm gear status or landing-light activation, turning your desk into a mini runway light show.
When I deployed landing gear during a low-altitude A-10 approach, the brain-muscle memory switch flick felt instantly familiar and satisfying, a vast improvement over fumbling with on-screen menus. The brake lever’s Hall-effect sensor gave crisp, drift-free inputs, and I never once forced a failed gear-up on final. Its compact footprint meant I could palm-reach each switch without looking down like a learnerburner or lifting off my stick.Ultimately, the MTLP Panel makes takeoff and landing procedures more immersive and efficient, but at around Ait’s definitely a nice-to-have rather than a must-have. If you’re piecing together a full fighter-jet cockpit and crave that final touch of realism, just be prepared to clear desk space or mount it securely.Back to topBetter TogetherThere’s something undeniably thrilling about wielding hardware that echoes the heft and detail of real combat aircraft, especially when you’re diving into my test case scenarios. The MTP Throttle and MTLP Panel aren’t merely flashy desk ornaments; they integrate seamlessly into Moza’s Cockpit Suite for drag-and-drop mapping, telemetric lighting, and vibration tuning, delivering an immersive sim experience.
Side note: I also have to say, as a primarily VR-based flight simmer, having so much functionality “where it ough to be” at one’s fingertips, as opposed to blindly faffing about on a keyboard, is next-level handy. Put simply, I cannot go back from here.
Whether you’re lining up for a low-and-slow bomb run or wrestling a heavy bomber through crosswinds, these peripherals elevate every cockpit interaction. If you can afford the mid-to-high-end price of admission, I say cue up some Kenny Loggins, engage those detents, retract your gear, and turn ‘n’ burn in an altogether higher tier of tactical. It’s been a go-to when the weather heats up so I can comfortably doze off.” If you aren’t sure which side is doing the cooling, you can identify it by its “ocean blue” color. While some pillows can trap heat, this one is here to debunk the myth. This one gets its cooling effect from its breathable machine washable cover and patented Aero Foam Core. It’s also just as cozy. Calling it a “tiny bed,” commerce editor Audrey Lee says it helps relieve her shoulder and neck pain. “The Pillowcube is one of the longestrelationships I've had with a pillow,” she says. “I'm notoriously picky when it comes to cushionsand I've never had a disappointing night's rest with this one. Two AD staffers have this adjustable pillow from Coop Sleep Goods and love that it keeps its shape over time since you can add or remove the fill for just the right feel. Associate commerce director Lori Keong likes how customizable and “plushy they are to snooze on in all sleep positions,” while commerce producer Lauren Arzbaecher adds that they are “life-changing” for side and stomach sleepers like herself. “The memory foam and microfiber combo has helped with movement isolation so I don’t wake up with a stiff neck anymore, plus it just feels luxurious,” Arzbaecher adds.Nest Bedding Easy Breather PillowUpsidesCustomizable firmnessHelps alleviate neck painComes in three sizes including for side sleepersDownsidesSome customers feel like the fill is a bit stiffSpecsFill: 80% Non-Toxic CertiPUR-US® Certified Virgin Foam Blend of Memory Foam and High-Response Foam, 20% Smooth Polyester FiberCare: Remove the outer cover from the pillow. Do not dry on high heat; the cover may warp and shrink.Sizes: Standard/queen, side sleeper, kingSince AD PRO senior editor Mel Studach is pretty choosy when it comes to her bedding, the customization of this adjustable pillow immediately caught her attention. “I keep my shredded memory foam pillow pretty firm, and I’m so happy with the level of support and cooling comfort that it’s provided,” she says. “In comparison to other pillows I’ve had in the past, this one stands out not only for its customization, but also the fact that I have yet to have an uncomfortable night’s sleep or to wake up to soreness in my neck thanks to the firm support.”How we testedWe tested all the best cooling pillows just like everything else across the sleep category here at AD Shopping by, well, actually resting on them. Our editors slept on these pillows for at least a month to see how their sleep was transformed, paying special attention to the factors below.Cooling Technology: Special features like gel-infused pads make several of these pillows feel cool to the touch, while others feature add-ons like moisture-wicking covers. Otherwise, organic materials like latex are a great way to go since they are naturally breathable.Material: Most of the picks on this list are made of memory foam, latex, or a blend of down alternative fills like foam and microfiber. All of the above are known for being cozy to snuggle up with at night, however, we paid close attention to options with machine washable covers, too, for easy maintenance.Sleep Positions: Whether you’re a stomach sleeper or side sleeper, you’ll want to keep your sleep position in mind to make sure you don’t wake up with aches and pains. Like our Naturepedic pick, some pillows have a U-shape that contours around the body for side sleepers. We’ve included adjustable pillows in our list, too, so you can customize the fill and firmness level to meet your needs, no matter your sleep position.FAQsAre cooling pillows really worth it?If you ask us, we say a unanimous yes. The key to finding one that actually feels cooling is to look out for phase change materials, which essentially means there’s a combo between a breathable design—like natural fabrics such as latex—and a moisture-wicking cover to help keep you from overheating.Should you use a pillowcase on a cooling pillow? If your pillow has a machine-washable cover, you technically don’t have to use a pillowcase. However, if you want added coverage for your pillow, opting for a cooling pillowcase made of a crisp material like percale can make it feel even more comfortable.
