  • Your dreams of a small iPhone just died (again)
    www.macworld.com
MacworldEven as Apple has released larger phones over the past several years, a subset of iPhone buyers are still holding out hope that one day Apple will again release an iPhone with a 5-inch screen. According to a new report, the day isnt going to come anytime soon.In a Live Q&A session for Bloomberg, well-known Apple leaker Mark Gurman answered a question about whether Apple is planning on releasing a new smaller iPhone, and he made it pretty clear that its not:Well see what the market tells Apple. Right now, theyre not working on a smaller iPhone. They really shifted away, theyre trying to make that roughly 6-inch display the base size, and theyre just trying to go bigger and bigger and bigger. Its not just the obvious changes from mini to Plus phones. Over the years, Apple has continued to boost the size of its larger ones. For example, the iPhone 11 Pro Max was 6.5 inches while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 6.9 inches, and the iPhone 11 Pro was 5.8 inches while the iPhone 16 Pro is 6.3 inches. Similarly, the 6.1-inch iPhone 16e replaced the 4.7-inch iPhone SE earlier this year. Some Apple fans are still clamoring for a smaller phone, including Macworlds own Macalope, but Gurmans remarks make it clear that Apple has no plans for anything smaller than the current smallest iPhone, which is 6.1 inches: The bigger you go, the smaller the 6-inch phones feel.

  • How to turn off Apple Intelligence -- and keep turning it off
    appleinsider.com

Here's how to turn it off and get that space back. You can save a lot of storage space by turning off Apple IntelligenceIt's not exactly surprising that Apple wants you to use its latest features, but if you don't use them, you should be able to switch off Apple Intelligence entirely. Perhaps that won't even be possible later as Apple Intelligence becomes more entwined with iOS, but for now, there is an off switch, and if you've used it, Apple should respect that.Since it doesn't, though, and instead turns Apple Intelligence back on every time you update iOS, here's how to turn it off. You just might want to bookmark this as one thing to do right after any update. Continue Reading on AppleInsider | Discuss on our Forums

  • Shadow Labyrinth Launches on July 18th
    gamingbolt.com
Metroidvania meets Pac-Man in Bandai Namcos bizarre Shadow Labyrinth, and it launches on July 18th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the latest gameplay trailer, which showcases even more combat, bosses, and what the mysterious PUCK is capable of.Shadow Labyrinth focuses on Swordsman No. 8, who traverses an unknown planet at the behest of PUCK (who significantly resembles Pac-Man). While the former engages in combat and can platform through levels, the latter helps with trickier traversal segments. PUCK can also transform into a massive dark creature and gruesomely devouring foes. But thats not all. By combining with Swordsman No. 8, PUCK can create a mech-like power armor with unique abilities. Its nothing youd expect from a Pac-Man title, especially with the vibe, but the story seemingly indicates that our heroes were to remain contained. Time will tell how that ends up, so stay tuned for more gameplay.
