With the release of Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass, Epic Games decided to change its playbook regarding exclusive items. Due to this, Battle Passes will return in the future, and anyone will be able to purchase them. As a result, many players are wondering if this affects older seasonal passes as well.Epic has revealed a lot of details regarding Fortnite Battle Pass exclusivity, and thanks to a recent post on the companys website, we now know if the older passes will return. Will older Battle Passes return to Fortnite in the future?Exclusivity is a big part of Fortnite Battle Royale. Many players want to have limited-time items that will not be available in the future. This is what the Battle Pass was all about, but things have changed since August 2024. Seasonal passes are no longer exclusive, although they still give many benefits, including early access to cosmetics. This ground-breaking change made the community believe that the older passes would stop being exclusive as well. However, that is not the case, the Fortnite developer clarified. The exclusivity change will only affect Battle Passes released after August 7, 2024, starting with Chapter 5 Season 4.Any Battle Passes released after August 7th, 2024 will be impacted by this change. Any Battle Passes released prior to August 7th, 2024 will not be impacted by this change.Epic GamesOlder Fortnite cosmetics, such as Black Knight, will remain exclusive. Image by VideoGamerWhile Epic Games wont bring older Battle Passes back to Fortnite, we expect the company to release many remixed skins in the future. This has been the case for the past few years and is a decent way of redesigning older skins and bringing them back without affecting their exclusivity. With Fortnite Chapter 1 returning permanently in December 2024, Epic will likely design new remixed skins. After all, the Season 2 Battle Pass is one of the most popular seasonal passes, and many players would love to own classic skins such as Black Knight and Blue Squire. • Helldivers 2 players rewarded with hilarious solution to DSS issues

Rest assured, all imagery and advice is unique and original. Check out how we test and review games hereHelldivers 2 received another major patch which brought in a much-awaited DSS (Democracy Space Station) which is now operational for every player. Still, despite a long wait, the newly added feature is ridden with issues and bugs that have left the community pleading with Arrowhead for fixes. While the devs and the community manager both have assured players of incoming fixes and admitted to a lack of testing of the station, players believe these fixes might take longer than expected. In the meanwhile, players are trying to figure out ways to counter those bugs, and to help with that Arrowhead has rewarded them with a hilarious solution.Arrowhead rewards Helldivers 2 players with free shields as temporary solution to DSS issuesHelldivers 2 players are now receiving free shields in their Mission Stratagems after the devs admitted to the failure of a successful DSS launch in the game. The free shield adds an extra layer of protection for players who embark on major orders or battle enemies across the galaxy.Players are being given free shield by devs in Helldivers 2. Image by Reddit/WhiteRaven_M.However, players believed this reward was merely to pacify them as a temporary solution to the massive issues going on with DSS. One such player wrote, Titanic is sinking? Thats where flex tape comes in, comparing this reward to a mere useless solution to them taking friendly damage from space stations.Another user chimed in, This is like giving us a snorkel for a tsunami and I find that absolutely hilarious. A third user said, Im sorry, but I cant help but laugh about this whole ordeal. Yeah, the devs really fumbled with this station, but the fact that weve been working towards this, excited about this station bringing absolute dominance on the enemy, only for it to kill us in the end is hilarious.Arrowhead has assured players that theyre working on these issues in addition to the fixes needed with excessive ragdolling, revamping the jet pack, and adding to theGalactic War Map. However, at the same time, its the community who are making hilarious moments with friendly fire team wipes at the station.Helldivers 2Platform(s):PC, PlayStation 5Genre(s):Action, Shooter, Third Person8VideoGamerSubscribe to our newsletters!By subscribing, you agree to our Privacy Policy and may receive occasional deal communications; you can unsubscribe anytime.Share

  • Sorry, turns out you won't be watching a Star Wars movie December 2026, but at the very least you'll get a sequel to a series you probably haven't thought about in almost a decade

Ice ColdSorry, turns out you won't be watching a Star Wars movie December 2026, but at the very least you'll get a sequel to a series you probably haven't thought about in almost a decadeNot so equivalent exchange.Image credit: Lucasfilm News by Oisin Kuhnke Contributor Published on Nov. 16, 2024 It may not have had a title, but Disney has given its December 2026 Star Wars film the boot, with a family friendly replacement I'm sure will do fine.Star Wars is very much in an odd spot at the moment, in that since the release of Rise of the Skywalker most of the new media that's canon to the universe has been TV shows. There hasn't been a single film, and based on some recent reports, it's clear the house of mouse is trying to figure out how it can move forward on the film side of things. As of right now though, the only concrete decision it appears to have made is removing one of its upcoming Star Wars flicks (via Variety). The film was supposed to be releasing December 18, 2026, and it's not sure what it was meant to be (it could have been that solo Rey film, but that one's been struggling a bit too), but it doesn't matter now anyway. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. What's replacing it you may ask? Ah, well, Ice Age 6 of course! Yes, if you missed the news, last week Disney announced that another Ice Age film is on the way, a series I'm sure you all look back on fondly and definitely don't think to yourself, "wait, there were five of those things?" It makes enough sense as a December release, just in time for the holidays and all that, but it is a bit funny to go from Star Wars to Ice Age 6. Technically the most recent entry in the series is the 2022 film The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, but that was a Disney+ release, so I won't blame you if you never saw it. Before that was Ice Age 5 in 2016, so by the time 6 rolls up it'll have been a whole decade since the last mainline entry.Don't worry though, Star Wars fans, it's not like you don't have any Star Wars films to look forward to in 2026. Right now The Mandalorian and Grogu (yes that's its actual name) is scheduled for a May 2026 release, and there are plenty more in the works too, so maybe Disney will actually manage to figure out how to get Star Wars back on the big screen again. I'm not placing any bets, though.

Image: NintendoNintendo has all sorts of games in the pipeline, but it doesn't always release them as soon as they're complete. We've seen this occur during the Switch generation with series like Pikmin and Metroid Prime, and it seems another game the company could have been sitting on for quite some time was the recent release Mario & Luigi: Brothership. As highlighted by 'pierre485' on Bluesky (via GoNintendo), this new entry - which was originally revealed to the world in June 2024 - was apparently rated by the German Ratings Board USK "301 days" before it was actually released.Subscribe to Nintendo Life on YouTube785kWatch on YouTube "Some interesting data from recently released Nintendo titles (USK) : Mario & Luigi: Brothership was rated 301 days before release, the longest for an original Nintendo title since FE Engage (which was rated 515 days before release) *USK is the German rating board"Some interesting data from recently released Nintendo titles (USK) : Mario & Luigi: Brothership was rated 301 days before release, the longest for an original Nintendo title since FE Engage (which was rated 515 days before release)*USK is the German rating board pierre485 (@pierre485.bsky.social) 2024-11-16T12:59:39.917ZAgain, Mario & Luigi: Brothership isn't necessarily an isolated case here based on some of Nintendo's previous releases.Looking ahead, Nintendo has already locked in multiple first-party releases next year including Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, Pokmon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It's also rumoured it will lean heavily on third parties in 2025 to help fill the gaps in Switch's calendar as it gears up for the launch of the system's successor. • Charles Oliveira Vs. Michael Chandler Results: Highlights And Reaction
    www.forbes.com
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 16: (L-R) Michael Chandler of the United States of America and Charles ... [+] Oliveira of Brazil fight in a lightweight fight during the UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden on November 16, 2024 in New York City. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC)Zuffa LLCCharles Oliveira won a somewhat lopsided unanimous decision over Michael Chandler in their rematch on Saturday night, but this was one of my favorite fights in years. Both Oliveira and Chandler had their moments in the UFC 309 co-main event, and thats especially the case for the epic fifth round. Through the first four rounds, Oliveiras surgical striking, timely takedowns, and overall fight acumen got the better of Chandler. The former champion was on his way to an easy victory heading into the fifth round. Rather than coasting and avoiding Chandler, Oliveira stood in the pocket and paid the price for his bravery. Chandler landed a huge right hand that hurt Oliveira. The Brazilian retreated and, in a desperate effort, was able to get the fight to the ground. While on the ground, Oliveira showed off his excellent recuperation gifts. He got back to his feet and then initiated a more controlled takedown. Oliveira took Chandlers back, setting up one of the more memorable Octagon moments youll see this year. Two words for you.If this was WWE, this was a match that saw the loser have a moment that would lead to their elevation moving forward. Chandler is smart. He started putting on a show once he realized he wouldn't win the fight. That backpack powerbomb was pure cinema, and it set up Chandler's epic post-fight callouts of Max Holloway and Conor McGregor.MORE FOR YOUBoth of those callouts make sense. Chandler has long been set to fight McGregor, but the latter has not returned to the Octagon. The Holloway callout is also sensible because the former featherweight champion is coming off his first stoppage loss and has permanently moved up to lightweight. A fight with Chandler could be epic, and it's appropriate for both men at this stage of their careers.Oliveira will be waiting for the winner of the upcoming title fight between champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan. That fight is expected to take place in January, and Oliveira believes he has set himself up to face the winner.Oliveira has faced and lost to both men, but he's likely in a position to challenge for the championship. Here is a look at all of the results from the event.UFC 309 Results TableMain Card(c) Jon Jones def. • Microsoft confirms mistake in Windows 11 update causing false "end-of-support" alerts
    www.techspot.com
Facepalm: A recent mandatory security update for Windows 11 23H2, known as KB5046633, has triggered an unexpected notification for many users. The update left users scratching their heads after an end-of-support message started showing up. Users who installed the update reported a peculiar notification from the Windows Update service. The message erroneously warns that Windows 11 23H2 is approaching its end of support and prompts users to download a newer version of Windows to stay current. This message understandably caused confusion, as Windows 11 23H2 is officially supported until November 11, 2025, with a full year of security and feature updates still expected. In response to this, a Microsoft support representative confirmed to Windows Latest that the message is indeed a bug. "This is just a reporting bug on our side," the representative explained. Microsoft stated it is actively investigating the issue and plans to resolve it through a server-side update, likely to be deployed within a week.Further adding to the confusion, the erroneous message includes an option for users to check for updates even though the KB5046633 update is already the most recent version available. For those encountering this misleading alert, experts recommend a simple workaround: logging out and restarting the system. This action might clear the incorrect notification. Alternatively, users can wait for Microsoft's server-side fix, which should address the issue automatically. // Related StoriesIt's worth noting that a legitimate end-of-support message was issued earlier this year, targeting users of Windows 11 22H2. Those still running this older version are strongly encouraged to upgrade, as they will no longer receive security or feature updates.Microsoft has a notoriously poor track record with Windows updates. In this particular instance, no significant harm has been done, but it seems that every other month we hear about problematic updates introducing new bugs or crashes for users. As a result, it's generally advisable to take a more conservative approach to OS updates rather than immediately installing the latest ones.Just last week, there was a notable snafu affecting Windows Server users. A routine security update unexpectedly triggered a full operating system upgrade. What was supposed to be a standard patch ended up installing Windows Server 2025 on countless machines still running the 2022 edition.
