  • See Whats New In Teardown Creators Custom Voxel Physics Engine
    cgshares.com
Back in December, we spotlighted Dennis Gustafsson, the creator of the fun voxel destruction game Teardown, and his new endeavor: a custom engine that focuses on improving physics simulation.Since the development of the Teardown engine, there have been significant advancements in the field of game physics, and Dennis now aims to learn from other creators, such as Erin Catto and his Box2D. This new engine utilizes sub-stepping instead of solver iteration, a method sometimes referred to as Temporal Gauss-Seidel, and features a parallel solver capable of handling large piles of objects across multiple threads. Also, improvements have been made to contact generation and the broad phase.Check out a couple of new demos shared by Dennis:According to him, the system runs on a high-performance i9 CPU with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti using 32 threads and simulates in approximately 5 ms. For anyone interested in delving into this area, Dennis recommends exploring Box2Ds development blog for valuable insights and resources.Learn more about this and other Dennis projects here and follow him onX/Twitter. • Retired Lego Technic Fast & Furious Dodge Charger Is In Stock At Walmart
    www.gamespot.com
Lego retired its Lego Technic model based on Dom's Dodge Charger from Fast & Furious last January, making it more difficult to find for a reasonable price. However, Walmart seems to have randomly added new stock of the set to its online store--a full year after the set retired--and is selling it at the standard $120 retail price it launched for in 2020. This is a great opportunity to grab the set if you missed out on it originally, but act fast--we have no idea how long stock will last, and it it likely to sell out, well, fast. Lego Technic Fast & Furious Doms Dodge Charger (1,077 pieces) $120 The Lego Technic Fast & Furious Doms Dodge Charger is a 1,077-piece replica of the muscle car driven by Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) in multiple Fast and Furious films. The highly detailed set includes faithful details like the car's iconic engine, moving wheels, and more. There is also an optional wheel stand mode that's great for displaying the set on your shelf. See at Walmart Again, this is a retired set, meaning Lego is not making anymore of them, and you won't find it in stock anywhere else--at least not from large retailers. You can find it at Amazon for around the same price at the moment, but you'll be buying from a third-party seller. If you don't see the $120 price when you check Walmart's store page, click "More seller options" and select "Sold and shipped by Walmart," and it should appear. If you don't see an option to buy directly from Walmart, then it's possible it has sold out--in which case, overpriced third-party sellers are your only option.Lego also released a smaller Speed Champions version of Dom Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger, but it has been retired for some time. Nevertheless, you can still find it from resellers at Walmart, though you'll be paying twice as much as its original price.Continue Reading at GameSpot

    gamerant.com
Incantations make up half of the spell types in Elden Ring, but there are far fewer armor pieces that benefit Faith and Incantation builds than there are for Intelligence and Sorcery builds. There are still some powerful Faith armor sets you can get throughout Elden Ring, though, if you know where to look and what to equip.

  • Xbox Planning Big Storage Upgrade
    gamerant.com
The Xbox Series X/S could be getting bigger storage options soon. With many new games needing more space, the Xbox Series X and S's 16 terabyte limit for external hard drives is easy to fill up. The Xbox Series S in itself only has 512 gigabytes of internal storage to use, so the need to utilize external options might be a necessity for most gamers who truly want to maximize their systems.
