In the future, humanity ventures among the stars. To survive the journey to new star systems, humanity created the Cores. Each Core is a system capable of storing human data, preserving a digital record of a human psyche and rebuilding it upon reaching its destination. One such destination is Moebius, an artificial city built by corporations to extract precious minerals from the planet Vulcan. You are Aska, an android created by one of the citys founders. Nexus, your creator, has one goal for you: Follow orders, and maybe you will be able to save the inanimate colonists trapped in the Citadel.One of the most unique gameplay mechanics in Metal Eden is Core Ripping. This feature enhances the combat experience by adding a strategic layer to how players engage with enemies. In this post, well delve into how you can master this ability to dominate your foes and make the most of Askas powerful skills.Todays reveal trailer shows that, equipped with the Multitool, Aska can use its Gravity Beam to rip Cores out of enemies bodies. Once grabbed, you can throw their Core at your enemies, creating an explosion. Brutal Core Ripping for quick and effective enemy disposal!Alternatively, Aska can consume the core. Consuming a core offers different advantages depending on your choices throughout the game Like empowering your melee attacks, mobility or survivability. We will share more information about this in the future.While exploring Moebius you will stumble upon drones. When hacked they will provide a Body Module, which ASKA can use to empower her Core, make her capabilities even stronger and provide her with potent options to turn the tide of battle. However, it requires precision, timing, and understanding of when and how to use Body Modules effectively. This game-changing progression system can be used to tailor your experience as you explore Moebius.Before ripping a Core, you need to ensure that your Core Ripping ability is fully charged. You can monitor this by checking the meter located at the bottom middle of your Heads-Up Display (HUD). Once its charged, youre ready to make your move:Find an un-armored enemy: Core Ripping can only be executed on un-armored enemies, destroy the enemies armor using energy weapons, then rip out their core and use it to gain an advantage in combat.Get close and aim: Position yourself close to the enemy and aim carefully.Watch for the crosshair: When a crosshair appears on the target, it indicates that youre in the right position to perform a Core Rip.Follow the button prompt: As soon as you see the button prompt in the middle of the HUD, press it to execute the Core Rip.Whether you choose to blow up your enemies or power up your melee strikes, Core Ripping provides endless possibilities for creativity and strategic play.
