Captain America returns this week for his first standalone movie in nearly a decade. The character has been a staple in the MCU, first appearing in Marvel's Phase One and now set to star in Phase 5's Brave New World 14 years later. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)Avengers: Infinity War is the first movie in the Avengers two-part battle against Thanos. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021 TV Series)The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the first MCU project in which Sam Wilson serves as Captain America. Set roughly six months after the events of Endgame, the Disney+ series follows Wilson and Bucky Barnes as they battle a group of anti-nationalist supersoldiers known as the Flag Smashers, led by Karli Morgenthau (Erin Kellyman).Where to Stream: Disney+9. Captain America: Brave New World (2025)The Falcon and the Winter Solider sets up the newest Cap movie, Captain America: Brave New World. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.The newly elected U.S. president line implies the movie is set in late 2027 (when a U.S. president is elected) or early 2028 (when they take office), given the decades only presidential elections take place in 2024 and 2028. Brave New World introduces Harrison Ford into the MCU as the aforementioned President Ross/Red Hulk a character portrayed in earlier MCU films by the late actor William Hurt. Deadline reported both Mackie and Evans will appear in Doomsday, though Evans refuted the part of the report pertaining to his role.Were just as likely to see Captain America in the next-next Avengers movie, Avengers: Secret Wars, due out May 7, 2027.
