On the one hand, players increasingly seek shared world features and deeper engagement, while on the other hand, the CEO believes that the newest title in the franchise failed to resonate with a broad enough audience in this highly competitive market.As the publishing partner of Hazelight, EAs opinion doesnt seem to be one that the It Takes Two and A Way Out developer would agree with. But game development is not simply a business, or in Josefs words, it should be considered a piece of art, where creativity matters and should be respected. They have to meet in the middle. You cant also be too much focused on creativityIt cant just be towards the finance side.With these in mind, the founder has made future choices for the team, and stated, no, it will not happen with a Hazelight game, ever. I guarantee.In slightly more than a decade, Hazelight created three cooperative games, including the upcoming Split Fiction, which will be released on March 6. The 2018 A Way Out sold over 9 million copies by June 2024, and the award-winning It Takes Two sold 20 million copies by October 2024.
