Of that, $92.4 million is from international audiences, stateside take is currently $88.4 million. With the four-day weekend,Brave New Worldseems poised to make $100 million domestic, ahead of the initial target projections of $90 million-$96 million. To date, its one of the best domestic openings for the Presidents Day holiday and the biggest opening of any 2025 movie yet. Its also the highest open for any Captain Americamovie yet: the Steve Rogers-led movies respectively made $65.1 million (First Avenger), $95 million (Winter Solider), and $179.1million (Civil War). Despite mixed reactions from critics, audiences are apparently much kinder to Sam Wilsons first time leading aCaptain Americamovie. Analyst Luiz Fernando noted Bravesports a B- Cinemascorereportedly the lowest grade ever for an MCU movie. As for non-Capmovies, last weeks Love HurtsandHeart Eyes got Valentines Day boosts. Domestically,Love Hurtsmade an additional $4.4 million (for a $12.3 million weekend take), andHeart Eyesgained another $10 million for $21.5 million in its second weekend.Heart Eyesactually grew in its sophomore weekend, prompting director Josh Ruben to thank audiences for taking a chance on a different kind of horror movie and youre spreading the word.
