NetEaseNetEase has shown great willingness and readiness to port their hit third-person hero shooter Marvel Rivals to Nintendos brand-new handheld console.The games producer, Weicong Wu, told IGN at the DICE Summit held in Las Vegas that due to the first generation of Switch unable to provide the gameplay experience that the team expected, the game wasnt available on the platform. But as with Switch 2s promising improvements to offer greater performance, the team is open to bringing the game to Nintendos new console. He revealed that theyre already in contact with Nintendo and working on some development kits.Although Nintendo didnt provide many details about the upcoming Switch 2, a rumored mouse theory has been circulating around the community. This theory has been made more possible by a patent revealed last week that showcases one of the technical details of the Joy-Con.NintendoThis patent, filed in August 2023, shows a detailed structure of the controllers interior. Joy-Cons will work as input devices and include a sensor for mouse operation that detects reflected light from a detected surface. This possibly means players can use Joy-Con on a flat surface, similar to a mouse. If this feature is indeed implemented, shooters like Marvel Rivals would have a better experience.Nintendo promises to share more about Nintendo Switch 2 at the upcoming Nintendo Direct conference on April 2, 2025.
