NetEase Games has maintained for a while that it has no current plans to releaseMarvel Rivalsfor the Nintendo Switch, but what about its successor? With the Switch 2 due out sometime later this year, questions about whether the hero shooter will release for the new console have been asked more than a few times. And for NetEases part, thats very much on the cards.Speaking recently with IGN, producer Weicong Wu revealed that NetEase Games is already in contact with Nintendo, and open to bringingMarvel Rivalsto the Switch 2. Wu went on to explain that the Switchs technical limitations prevented the game from releasing for Nintendos current platform, something that NetEase is hoping the Switch 2 will be able to avoid.Were already in contact with Nintendo and working on some development kits, Wu said. And whenever we find that we could provide great performance for our game on Switch 2, were open to that. The reason why we didnt launch it onto the Switch, it was the first generation of that device they cannot provide a great experience for our gameplay. So if it could achieve that goal, were open to that.Marvel Rivalsis currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
