Curvenet is a curve-based deformer that serves as an additional rig, working alongside the main rig or geometry cache to create secondary deformations. Inspired by Pixars graphics technology and its character articulation through profile curves, Pavlo Kotliar decided to develop a similar tool for Maya.Maya Curvenet Deformer generates a mesh of curves on the characters surface, along with controllers to manipulate the mesh. Adjusting the meshs shape causes the character to deform. When used as an additional rig, the curve mesh and controllers mirror the deformations of the main rig or geometry cache. This tool is still a work in progress, so follow Pavlo on LinkedIn to stay updated on the latest news and developments.Have a look at this impressively realistic facial rig with adjustable eyes, mouth, and wrinkles, and see more of Pavlos projects on his ArtStation page:Join our80 Level Talent platformand ournew Discord server, follow us on Instagram,Twitter,LinkedIn,Telegram,TikTok, andThreads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.Source link The post Custom Pixar-Style Curvenet Deformer For Maya appeared first on CG SHARES.
