MetaMeta unveiled plans to complete its most ambitious subsea initiative, titled Project Waterworth, a more than 50,000 km cable exceeding the Earths circumference.The cable will reach five major continents and connect the US, Brazil, India, South Africa, and other key regions. The project aims to ensure greater economic cooperation, facilitate digital inclusion, and develop technological development in these regions. For example, in India, where weve already seen significant growth and investment in digital infrastructure, Waterworth will help accelerate this progress and support the countrys ambitious plans for its digital economy, reads the announcement.Undersea cables, similar to Project Waterforth, enable digital communication, video experiences, online transactions, and more and account for more than 95% of intercontinental traffic.
