The council declared a climate emergency in January 2019 and aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2038.The latest search for a design team comes three years after Kirklees Council announced it was seeking a design team for a 125-home low carbon housing development in Hightown.Last year, Newark-based Influence Landscape Planning and Design was picked by Kirklees Council for a 14 million upgrade of public realm and council-owned buildings across Batley.Bids for inclusion on the latest framework will be evaluated 60 per cent on quality and 40 per cent on cost.
