GTA 6 fans are not only waiting for a firm release date, but a second trailer, too and one fan may have a pretty good theory for when it'll be shown based on Borderlands 4Tech11:06, 25 Feb 2025Here's hoping we get a new trailer soon(Image: Rockstar)Take-Two Interactive has confirmed in its earnings call that GTA 6 is still slated for this year, but as the weeks tick on, Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are getting antsy as the wait for Trailer 2 goes on.Rockstar's games have slipped before following delays, and that's got fans thinking the same could happen with GTA 6 although at least PC fans have a big upgrade for GTA 5 to help them pass the time.Still, one fan has put together a plausible theory for when we'll get the Trailer 2, potentially with a release date attached, and once again it's tied to the fact Borderlands 4 has a release date. Let us explain.Content cannot be displayed without consentBorderlands 4 developer Gearbox shares a publisher with Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, and while its September launch seemingly narrows down the date GTA 6 will launch, there was some time between trailers for the loot shooter. Over on X (formerly Twitter), one user suggested that the lack of a second trailer for GTA 6 might not mean it's coming next year, with Borderlands' own trailer dropping around seven months before launch.With fans convinced we'll be playing GTA 6 in October or November of this year, we could see a trailer come the end of March if it follows a similar format to Borderlands."We have no reason to worry.
