Jos Molfino, whose cool lava lamp-inspired Houdini simulation created with COPs we shared the other day, has now revealed the results of his latest instancing workflow test. This huge realistic forest scene, powered by nirfse3Ds Simple Tree Tools, features 1,500 animated tree instances, each with 45,000 instanced leaves and 20,000 instanced plants. To push Karma a bit further, Jos added a VDB skybox with mist and fog effects. The scene renders at around 2 minutes per frame on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and uses around 10-11 GB of VRAM, which is quite high.Check out the artists stunning short film inspired by real deep-sea footage and brought to life with Houdini, Redshift, and Solaris:Follow him onX/Twitterfor more and join our80 Level Talent platformand ournew Discord server, follow us onInstagram,Twitter,LinkedIn,Telegram,TikTok, andThreads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.Source link The post Testing Animated Instances In Large Forest Scene With Houdinis Solaris & Karma appeared first on CG SHARES.
