Sharp fangs are some of the earliest crafting materials youll need in Monster Hunter Wilds, but they dont come from any of the larger monsters in the game. Instead, youll need to hunt some smaller wildlife if you want to build the Talioth Vambraces or pieces of the Chatacabra set.In this Monster Hunter Wilds guide, well teach you where you can find a sharp fang in the Windward Plains map and what you can build with it.How to get a sharp fang in Monster Hunter WildsThere are several low-rank monsters that drop sharp fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds, although by the time you get to areas outside of the Windward Plains, you wont need them as much.Here are the monsters weve been able to confirm drop sharp fangs:Gajios (Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest)Talioth (Windward Plains)Piragill (Scarlet Forest)Kranodath (Oilwell Basin)The Gajios are very easy to find early in the game, so well focus on them (although the other monsters will appear on your map as little pink diamonds, so you can track them that way if youre in another area). Gajios are part-crocodile, part sawfish creatures that hang out in the rivers of the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest. Sharp fangs are also the only items in their low-rank loot pool, so youre guaranteed to get one when you kill a Gajios. Look for them in the rivers of Area 8 and 10 in the Windward Plains and you should find several.What can you craft with sharp fangs in Monster Hunter Wilds?There are two early armor pieces that youre likely looking into crafting if youre hunting for sharp fangs, the Talioth Vambraces and the Chatacabra Coil.Both of these are low-rarity pieces that will give you a modest bump to your defense ahead of some of the more challenging monsters in Chapter 1 of the main story. The Chatacabra Coil specifically comes with some water resistance, which will be helpful when facing a Balahara in the Windward Plains or the most difficult fight in Chapter 1, the apex beast of the Scarlet Forest.
