Theyre easiest to see at nighttime, and, while its not necessary, fishing for them during a plenty helps a lot.There are a few places to check for grand escunites (always at nighttime):You might find them in the pond at the Area 8: Underground Lake pop-up campYou also might find them along the Area 17: Great Lake ShoreBut youll almost always find them in the deep water between Areas 12 and 13 northwest of the Area 12: Northeast campGrand escunites are easy to spot because they glow in the dark.How to catch a grand escunite in Monster Hunter WildsGrand escunites (and regular escunites, for that matter) are tricky to fish for because its unclear which direction theyre heading they move in the direction of their shells, but they grab food in the direction of their tentacles.Your best bet is to move your tentacle jig as close to the grand escunite as you can, and keep reeling slowly. Be patient with this its pretty hard to catch their attention and, even then, theyre pretty hesitant to take the bait.
