As we wait for news about GTA 6, one social post allegedly from Rockstar Games claims to have revealed the game's soundtrack but try not to read too much into itTech22:00, 12 Mar 2025Updated 22:16, 12 Mar 2025Don't expect these tracks to play during your wild car chases(Image: Rockstar)Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch in 2025 (apparently), but while a lot of talk continues about how much the game will cost, it appears some cheeky accounts are starting to share misinformation about the title.One screenshot doing the rounds on social media at present is claiming to be from Rockstar Games, and has a list of tracks and artists that make up the game's soundtrack.Article continues belowWhile we've heard DJ Khaled could be on the Vice City airwaves, we're sad to say that this soundtrack 'leak' isn't all it could be yep, it's a fake, as good as many of the tracks are.Content cannot be displayed without consentAs shared by popular account Pop Crave on X (formerly Twitter), the 'leak' suggests huge artists like Future & Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj will be on the soundtrack.The screenshot which suggests the tweet was deleted, however, is a big ol' phony, we're sorry to say.As per the Community Note, "This is a fake tweet.""Rockstar Games haven't posted anything related to Grand Theft Auto VI since the first trailer they posted back in December of 2023.""Rockstar's tweets always go out at 7AM PST, 8AM PST, or 9AM PST", the note explains, while pointing out the studio's most recent post on its account is one about St Patrick's Day in Red Dead Online.As we tiptoe closer to that full reveal, there's a good chance more and more of these falsified 'leaks' will start appearing on our timelines.In fact, Rockstar hasn't posted anything about GTA 6 since the December 2023 reveal of the game's new trailer. After more than a whole year of silence, we're not convinced a list of artists and songs will cut it.
